Cake Care Instructions
-
Pickup and carry the cake box from the bottom only.
-
Do not push on sides or top of the cake box! Doing so will damage the frosting/cake.
-
Keep the cake leveled at all times, including during transport and refrigeration.
-
Make sure your vehicle is cool/air-conditioned before and during transportation of your cake. During colder months, be mindful that the floor heater is not turned on to avoid melted buttercream and collapsed cake.
-
Place your cake on the floor of your vehicle, away from loose objects. It is not recommended to ask someone to hold the cake while the vehicle is in motion. Be mindful of speed, sudden stops, sharp turns, black ice, etc. to avoid mishaps.
-
Keep refrigerated, away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
-
If cake is being picked up 1+ days prior to serving, then storing in a freezer is recommended to maintain moisture. Allow frozen cake to gradually thaw in refrigerator over several hours.
-
Remove cake from the fridge 1-2 hours before serving. Allow cake to come to room temp inside its box.
-
Displaying your cake: Use a sturdy cake stand (not cardboard!) at least 1+ inches larger than the cake board.
-
Never smash anyone's face into the cake! Cake toppers and structural dowels could cause serious injuries!
-
Remove non-edible items before cutting the cake. Be mindful of wooden/plastic structural dowels inside of the cake.
-
Leftover cake should be stored in an airtight container and placed in the fridge. Repeat thawing instructions prior to consumption,
